Dr Manu Ratnayake graduated from University of Melbourne.
After completion fellowship with Royal Australasian College of Physicians, he commenced work at St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital and St Vincent's Hospital in May 2013.
Dr Ratnayake is a Specialist General Physician, with a passion for comprehensive, whole patient-management. Through his work in both public and private health systems in Australia and New Zealand, he has gained extensive experience in a wide range of health conditions.
Dr Ratnayake believes the best outcomes result from the patient’s understanding of the health issue in depth and patient's active participation in decision-making and management.
His special interest areas are cardiovascular health, diabetes (type 1 and 2), assessment and management of dizziness, fainting palpitations and similar symptoms, metabolic symdrome, high blood pressure and other cardiovascular risk factors and peri-operative medical problems.
Dr Ratnayake provides inpatient care to patients at both St. Vincent’s Private Hospital and St. Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital, Outpatient consultation for new patients referred by General Practioners and follow up consultation for patients discharger from his inpatient care.
